Dampers

Exhaust bypass damper allowing web threadingEnviroAir designs our own heavy-duty dampers used in our tissue dust collection systems. A typical exhaust bypass damper is shown here. This automatic bypass damper prevents exhausting from the capture hoods during web break or web threading. This damper is furnished with a 2-position pneumatic actuator and solenoid valve. At web break or drop in speed for parent roll change, the exhaust blocking damper closes to prevent exhausting from the capture hoods.

Paper Trap

Paper trap used to separate broke or sheet drawn into hood.

The EnviroAir self-cleaning paper trap captures tissue broke that could otherwise plug a baghouse or venturi scrubber nozzles. The paper trap is mounted upstream of an exhaust bypass damper. During operation, any broke that may be drawn into the dust capture hoods will be captured on a perforated plate within the paper trap. A pressure switch senses the accumulation of broke in the paper trap initiating the cleaning cycle. During the cleaning cycle, the exhaust bypass damper closes preventing airflow through the paper trap and the accumulated broke drops through an automatic trapdoor at the bottom of the paper trap.

Diverter

Trim diverting damper to baler or dumpsterEnviroAir custom engineers other accessories for our tissue dust collection systems. The trim diverter shown here is used to direct trim from the discharge of one of our trim separators to the Customer’s baler or to an adjacent dumpster if the baler is out of service.
