Rotary Drum Filter

In addition to wet dust collectors, EnviroAir can supply dry dust collection with rotary drum filters. Drum filters work by drawing the dust laden air through a set of modular drum filters. Each modular drum filters has a pair of traversing vacuum nozzles that continually remove the collected paper dust. The drive elements and cross groove shaft that control the axial movements of the traversing vacuum heads are located on the clean air side of the drums. The concentrated vacuum dust air stream can be handled by either a wet scrubber or cyclone. In effect, the drum filter serves to greatly concentrate the dust, ensuring the most cost effective sizing of a small wet scrubber or high pressure cyclone.

The rotary drum filter can also be supplied with a vacuumed rotary pre-filter upon request. The pre-filter section collects tissue broke for recycling and is designed to prevent plugging of the drum filter section. The drum filter can also be supplied with high efficiency final filters to remove fine dust from the air.
